Project Overview
Designing and building virtual fundraising experiences for non-profits across the UK
During my time as an Interactive Designer at Blackbaud Europe, I worked with a portfolio of non-profit and charity clients to design and build virtual event and fundraising websites. For each project I took the brief all the way from initial design through to a fully built, live site — working directly with clients throughout.
Each site was built within Blackbaud's platform ecosystem (JustGiving, everydayhero, TeamRaiser) while being fully customised to each client's brand and campaign goals.
The Persona

The Charity Fundraiser
Individual participant · Motivated by cause, not technology
Signs up because they care about the cause — technology should be invisible. The sign-up, fundraising, and sharing experience must be completely frictionless. They'll share their page on social media and want it to look as good as the charity's own brand.
My Approach
- Took each brief from initial design concept to fully built, live site — end-to-end ownership of design and front-end build
- Designed conversion-optimised landing pages: clear CTAs, emotionally engaging imagery, and minimal sign-up friction
- Built fully responsive HTML/CSS front-ends that worked across all devices for a predominantly mobile audience
- Managed client relationships directly — translating creative briefs into design solutions, presenting work for approval, and iterating based on feedback
- Worked within Blackbaud's platform constraints (JustGiving, TeamRaiser, everydayhero) while delivering highly customised brand experiences

Shelter · Virtual Event
Shelter HomeRun
The brief was to create a virtual event encouraging individuals to run in the month of March and raise funds for Shelter. I designed and built this site.

The brief was to create a virtual event hub which could promote individual virtual events and show event metrics and donation amounts for Children with Cancer UK. I designed and built this site.
CALM · Virtual Event
CALM Virtual Event
The brief was to create a virtual event encouraging young individuals to run with their friends in the month of March and raise funds for CALM. I designed and built this site.
Teenage Cancer Trust · Virtual Event
More Than a Marathon
The initial brief was to design a virtual event site where individuals were challenged to run 28 miles in 28 days, while raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. I designed and built the site.
Orbis · Virtual Event
Orbis 20/20 Virtual Event
The brief was to create a virtual event encouraging individuals to run 20 minutes every day for 20 days and raise funds for Orbis. I designed and built this site.
LSBU · Alumni Website
LSBU Alumni Site Redesign
The brief was to redesign LSBU's previous alumni website and build the site in their new instance of BBIS (a proprietary Blackbaud software). I designed and built this site.
The Outcome
Six live sites — each designed and built end to end
Every project was delivered on time and to client satisfaction, with fully responsive, brand-accurate sites that made the most of the Blackbaud platform's capabilities. Each site was designed and built entirely by me, from first brief to final launch.
